David Seng

Starting his coffee career in 2004, head barista trainer, David Seng has worked in some of Melbourne’s best coffee companies including Veneziano Coffee, and St ALi family.

David’s teaching philosophy and style have been greatly influenced and shaped by his mechanical engineering background. With a deep understanding of science and more than a decade of experience in the specialty coffee industry, David blends science and craft to create classes that are fun and easy to follow.

For over 10 years, David has been a professional barista and has competed and judged at the highest levels of coffee competitions in Australia including state and national level. David actively mentors and coaches a select few professional baristas throughout the year.

In his spare time, you’ll often find David turning over the pedals on his road bike, or sweating buckets on the Muay Thai gym floor.

David’s experience and expertise in the craft of the barista makes him well placed to teach and share the secrets of coffee professionals. International and Australian companies have engaged David’s services in their pursuit of coffee excellence.
